2/2025 - The deer are starting to shed their winter coats. Tufts of fur all over the ground. Throughout my life, I have had many profound experiences with deer. Unplanned, touches, appearances, interactions, even support through presence when I needed to be reminded I am not in this alone—moments only for me. As I embrace the changes of my age, I too am shedding many aspects of myself, emotional, physical, spiritual. Learning to trust the process. So I gather my hair, their fur, gifts of presence and acceptance. So it goes.
Awarded Artists Magazine's 42nd Annual Art Competition 2025 in Abstract and Experimental category 5th Place Honorable Mention.
23” x 33” Watercolor, Oils, Pastel, Thread, Hair, Fur on Paper.
